Muirhouses
is the ideal centre in an area rich in scenery & history.

picturesque village of Glamis,a few miles away boasts not only
the magnificent Glamis Castle(home of the late Queen Mother)
but also the Angus folk museum-a living museum of country life
in this part of Scotland.
Kirriemuir. - 'The Little
Red Town'. named because of the red
sandstone used to build most
of the houses in the town.
The most famous son of Kirriernuir is undoubtedly J. M. Barrie
creator
of Peter Pan and inspiration for the film 'Neverland'.
It is also home
to one of the few Camera Obscuras in the country.
The Airlie Monument sits high on Tulloch hill with a new network
of pathways around and leading to this landmark.
